So my best friend is here from Florida. We are more like sisters then friends you might say. She is younger then me and we became close working at a boys camp together in high school. We were roommates in the fabulous A-Lodge and spent countless hours in a very hot kitchen. We laughed, we cried, we danced, we fought (literally). For 3 summers we prayed together every night and through all of this God knit each of us in each others heart in a very special way. Over 5 years ago my dear friend fell in love with one of those crazy boys from that camp and they got married. Then 2 months ago they had a baby. Well, Bec is up from Florida and yesterday I got to snuggle with this precious life that God has brought into our world. His name is Nolan and he is adorable. I am awed at this new phase in our lives. We got here so quickly. We talked about days gone by and all the changes in the present. I am blessed to watch my friend as a mom. She is awesome at it, even if she doesn't know she is. She has all the questions of any first time mom. She loves that little boy so much and seeks to do what is in his best interest, which is in contrast to what is easiest for her at times. I am proud of her and count it a great joy to once again to have a new little one that will someday call me Aunt Amy.
I sat yesterday with Becky and Suzanne. We all made a fuss about the baby and being together once again. We talked about all the changes. Bec is a mom. Suzanne got married. Big life things. I thought I might be sad. No big life things for me. No hotties chasing after me. We mentioned babies and I declared, "Not me. Not now." There are moments when I feel alone. Like life is happening for everyone else but me. Yet there are many more moments when I am so thankful for the life I have. God is so much more then gracious. I am blessed. Sure someday I might be a wife and a mom, but I am a daughter, a sister, a friend, a mentor, a counselor, a niece, a granddaughter, and a child of God. Each one of these roles makes me who I am and today that is enough!

Hi-Lo-Ha #8
Hi- There are a couple. I bought tickets to fly to SC in June for vacation. I can't wait!!! Then I just talked to an old friend on the phone the other night that I haven't talked to in a couple of years. It was great to catch up. Palm Sunday weekend we had another prayer weekend at church. It was AWESOME!!!
Lo- have been feeling discouraged about my place at NHCC. For the first time since we launched the church I am not leading a ministry and I feel lost. It is a time of transition for me and I just feel lonely and that I am floundering. I want to serve God at NHCC and want to be used by Him. I just don't know where or how right now.
Ha- My mom's side of the family got together for Easter, which if you knew mom's family you wouldn't need me to say anymore, but for those of you who don't I will go on. They are crazy. I don't think I ever laugh harder then when I'm with them. My Grammie Barbara and her sister, Auntie Marge, had what I thought were their special card playing hats on, until they wore them to church Easter morning and I knew they were not just for playing cards. My Aunnie Teresa is horrible at Boat Racing on the Arcade Games and struggles to keep the boat off land. Nadia killed Uncle David in Wii Bowling and Auntie Maria played Izzy in Wii Tennis. Seth talked a bunch of smack while beating Uncle Greg in Wii Baseball. I laughed so much, but then overheard a discussion about where the family is all going to go if things decline rapidly in the USA. I got scholded because I don't have my passort all ready to flee the country at a moments notice. Not to tell family secrets, but we're all supposed to meet at Grammie Barbara's house and then go from there. Are you kidding me? We really spent Easter weekend planning our families' escape? I told you they are crazy, but I love them!!!

Congrats!!
I want to offer a HUGE congratulations to Mr. Samuel Huggard for his amazing victory in the NCAA brackets this year. Us St. John girls aren't big fans of losing, but after so many years of defeat Sam you deserve this win. Bragging rights are officially yours for 1 year!!! Way to go Big Guy!!!

Big Games!!!
We're down to the Final Four- UConn, Michigan St, Villanova, and UNC. It's make it or break it time in the bracket. After a horrible start I'm coming on strong in the end and actually have a chance to win it all. Tonight's games will tell alot for me. I need UConn and Villinova to win. According to the computer if UConn and Nova go to the championship I win, no matter who wins that game. So come on Huskies and Wildcats!!!
